What is a cookie, briefly?

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to remember. Some are gone the moment you close the tab; some sit around longer. They can be useful (keeping you logged in) or noisy (tracking what you read across the internet). We use the useful kind, and we use as few as we can get away with.

What this site actually stores

1. PHPSESSID — first-party, session cookie

Set by the web server the first time you load a page. It holds a random session ID so the contact form's anti-forgery token (CSRF) can be paired to your specific visit. It expires the moment you close the browser tab. Strictly necessary; no opt-out, because the form won't accept submissions without it.

2. omnitura_cc_v1 — local-storage key

Stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie in the strict sense, but covered by the same regulations). It records whether you accepted or rejected the cookie banner so we don't show it on every page. The value is the word accepted or rejected. Persists until you clear local storage or until 365 days have passed.

What we don't run

• No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no TikTok Pixel.
• No third-party advertising or retargeting tags.
• No A/B-testing scripts.
• No heatmap or session-replay tools.

If that ever changes, we'll list any new cookie or tag here, update the banner, and re-prompt you for consent.

Changing your choice

The small gear icon at the bottom-left of every page reopens the cookie banner. You can also clear site data through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data — search for "omnitura".
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data — search for "omnitura".
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
