Why we have a separate corner
The main floor is built for adults: lower light, hot-towel scent, a couple of magazines. None of that is what a six-year-old wants while a stranger holds clippers near their ear. The kids' corner is a brighter pocket at the back — one chair shaped like a Mini Cooper, a small screen if a parent permits, and clippers fitted with the quieter rotor block.
How the visit usually runs
- Two minutes to settle. The barber introduces themselves at child eye-level, lets the kid hold a comb, sometimes a quick clipper demo on the parent's arm first.
- Cape on, parent close. A parent or grandparent stays right next to the chair the whole time. We hand the kid an unscented lollipop on the way in.
- Short, patient sessions. If your kid needs a five-minute break, we take it. We don't charge differently for that.
- Finishing touches. Neck dust with a soft brush, a quick mirror check, and a stamp on the back of the hand.
Sensory-friendly notes
If your child is on the autism spectrum, has sensory processing differences, or simply finds the clipper noise overwhelming, please tell the front desk at arrival. We'll put you in the quiet hour (10:30 - 11:30, Tuesday through Thursday is calmest), use the foil shaver instead of rotor clippers, and skip the spray bottle if water is a trigger. There's no extra charge for any of this — it's how the service should work for every kid who needs it.
First haircut?
If it's your child's first visit to a barbershop, ask for Encik Faizal or Pak Razlan — both have grandkids of their own and a wide bag of patience. We'll send you home with a small braided lock for the keepsake box (an old Klang Valley tradition we kept).
